Wild flowers

Feast your eyes

Another colourful feast for the eyes today. The parks and grass verges have been left untrimmed and unstrimmed and are providing a visual explosion of joy for all. The wild flowers are bursting through the ground – some are in their natural habitat and taking advantage of being given free reign and others have been sown with glorious abandon instead of the usual expanse of primped and cut grass (I love that too but in the right setting).

Rampion (Campanula rapunculus L.)

It is just so lovely to see. Collectively the flowers are beautiful and each little bloom is gorgeous too.

Nature at its best – the butterflies are fluttering by and the bees and insects are buzzing and humming.
